Service exchange engines are aimed specifically at commercial clients who need to reduce vessel downtime.
We can ‘pre-build’ any standard engine listed to fit in with the vessels scheduled maintenance period. We will build the core engine and fully test it on our dynamometer before the engine is scheduled for fitting. As soon as the original engine is removed from the vessel, it is sent to our works where we will remove, overhaul and install onto the new engine, any vessel specific parts such as:
The service exchange engine is sent back to the vessel and we take the client’s old engine in exchange.
This not only reduces downtime, but reduces engine costs and can be scheduled at major engine overhaul intervals as preventative maintenance.
